Hallelujah to the King of kings.

January 23, 2014.

Praise be to the Lord, ruler of heaven, commander of heavenly host, savior to the once lost. Amen.
Glory and honor and power be ascribed to his magnificent name.
The Lord of haven that has shown in infinite mercy to the ends of the earth, on the just and the unjust.
“Hallelujah!” let the earth shout, “Hallelujah!” let us sing.

We are His redeemed, his chosen, his priesthood. His love has come upon us.
He came down to our realm, submissive to save.
We are his handiwork, his creation, his breath. His mercy has come upon us.
He came to defeat death- to die and rise again.

In Christ we are more than conquers, triumphant in his glory alone.
Though Christ our identity is made know.
We live to serve a risen King.
“Unto death,” we will hold his reign supreme.

His salvation is offered not to us alone, that we may boast.
His salvation is open to all.
“He who hath an ear, let him hear!”
Glory to him who will welcome us home.

Amen.

“And Mary said,
“My soul magnifies the Lord,
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant.
For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed;
for he who is mighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his name.
And his mercy is for those who fear him
from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with his arm;
he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts;
he has brought down the mighty from their thrones
and exalted those of humble estate;
he has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has helped his servant Israel,
in remembrance of his mercy,
as he spoke to our fathers,
to Abraham and to his offspring forever.””
(Luke 1:46-55)
