O Lord, we are at your mercy,
forego our missteps, for we fall constantly.
What is it of man, that you deal so kindly?
O wretched creatures we are!
Prone to wander, Lord I feel it!
Who can save? Who can save?
O Lord, we are at your mercy,
forego our missteps, for we fall constantly.
“Behold, I am ruined!
For I am a man of unclean lips,
From a people of unclean lips!”
Lord, we are in your hand.
O Lord, we are at your mercy,
forego our missteps, for we fall constantly.
Guide us, our Lord,
be alone our strength.
Pull us against our will,
make your will our own.
O Lord, we are at your mercy,
forego our missteps, for we fall constantly.
Out of the mire, Lord towards you,
this is my plea, our plea, to you.
You alone can save,
and press our hearts to you.
O Lord, we are at your mercy,
forego our missteps, for we fall constantly.
